TRAGER
Trager style consists of gentle rocking, and the movement of muscles, limbs, and joints. By using motion in the muscles and joints to produce positive sensory feelings, the central nervous system responds by producing a sensory experience of light freedom and ease.
This approach to massage was developed in the 1920s by American medical practitioner Milton Trager.
The practitioner works in a relaxed, meditative state, to remain continually aware of the slightest responses from the client.
Positive outcomes can include the disappearance of specific symptoms, discomforts, or pains, heightened levels of energy and vitality, more effortless posture and carriage, greater joint mobility.
